Resonate

This is the rhythm that defines our sound.

These songs are rituals, memories and maps of transformation, each track a moment pulled from lived experience, and presented to you, as an offering to vibe to, learn from, resonate with.

You're resonating with grief, rage, tenderness, self-acceptance, freedom, and honesty.

The Beginning:

Sick

The first HOF song ever written was Sick. In 2014, several songs were written back to back: "Sick" and "Will You Watch The World Burn" (eventually shortened to "Watch the World Burn") were shared with Center Of Own, a band from Gilroy, CA that eventually folded in 2015, shortly after the first time Fall moved to Oregon. Upon returning to California, Fall wrote many many songs, the very next of which was "11-7-6-0", eventually renamed "Light". "Shooting Stars" came next. Eventually "XXVII" was written, to completion, while Fall attended Gavilan College to better understand musical theory, and to complete a certificate in Musical Composition and Production. Seeking to put into practice what he'd learned, he started by writing and recording what effectively amounts to a cover of a song by Madame Gandhi, an LA-based artist whose single "Young Indian" was assigned as a remix project for the production class final project. Taking what little he knew, Fall managed to pull off a 98 percent in the class, though the song was only ever released on Youtube, under the name "Young Metalhead".

Following that, he crafted the audio scape that became part of the background for "XXVII", then proceeded to release that. Hearing the mix for the first time in 2021, in his girlfriend's mom's house in Florida, 24 hours after returning home, he removed it from the internet out of shame. After re-recording that and sitting down to record "Shooting Stars", he re-released first "XXVII" under the name "27" (no, not like the Make Them Suffer song!) (although he certainly wishes he could work with them) and then a song to follow it called "A Prayer". Then he set about recording a song he'd written with Center Of Own called "Conformist" (with permission of course). He changed a few elements, rewrote the lyrics (they had held a meaning and purpose he no longer wished to align with) and then released the song in Late June of 2022.

The newest phase of Hotelsonfire was marked by several choices, one of which was settling on an official brand identity, moving the original logo to a watermark in the bottom right of the photo, and using what Fall refers to as The Star logo for all logo materials. The song that accompanied this change was, appropriately, called "If You're Ready".

On April 25th, 2025, Hotelsonfire released "Into The Storm".

Shocked and saddened by the passing of a longtime friend, Hotelsonfire went quiet while writing music. When they finally emerged from their quiet spell, they came back with a roaring eulogy of a song. Though it can be interpreted as a very angry or aggressive song, Fall insists that it is a piece to immortalize his friend, saying "She's a Capricorn, man. She might have had a hard time with her feelings, but she never wanted anybody's pity. She'd have hit you for crying over something like this, even if she meant the world to you. So I decided to give her a hard time about it, in honor of the way we'd always been." Fallen was released on October 31st of 2025.
